Super Green Smoothie

Mmmm, I get cravings for this one… a fantastic all rounder. Packed full of super healthy vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins E, B6, beta-carotene, folic acid, calcium and magnesium. It is a great source Vitamins K and C, iron and zinc. Plus it is a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids…

What’s in it…

  • Spinach (a big bunch or bag of baby spinach)
  • Fresh Mint (a handful – to taste)
  • 2 Pears (it tastes great with apples too)
  • Half a Lemon
  • Avocado (optional)
  • 1tsp Olive Oil

When we are having this as a thin smoothie during the day, we tend to leave out the avocado. For breakfast, the addition of the avocado adds extra anti-aging and antioxidants benefits… makes it more filling and creates a wonderful thick canvas for smoothie bowl art 🙂
