Strawberry Crown

This is one of the first two tone smoothie recipe’s we created… it’s simple and delicious 🙂 And the best bit is you can very easily make a really striking smoothie bowl. The designs below are all REALLY easy to recreate.

First up, What’s in it…

The ‘Base’ Yellow Smoothie

  • 1 Whole Mango
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 Heaped Table Spoon of Pea Protein (optional)
  • 1 Cup of Almond Milk (or water, etc)

The Pink Smoothie

  • Half the Yellow Smoothie Mix
  • 1 Cup of Strawberries
  • 1 Cup of Blackberries or Blueberries (or more strawberries!)

Blend up the “Base” Yellow Smoothie first and split between two bowls (for two people) leaving at least a third in the blender to form the base of the Pink Smoothie.

This is quite a thick smoothie… you can add more almond milk and/or less pea protein to thin it.

If you run the back of a spoon across the top of the smoothie to ‘smooth’ it out and remove some of bubbles. You can also use a cocktail stick to pop any persistent bubbles.

Add the pink/purple berries to the blender and mix… Then carefully spoon it across half of the yellow smoothie in the bowls… try to keep a fairly straight line or make a wiggly line a feature! Using a cocktail stick, dip the end into the yellow smoothie then draw it across the smoothie divide from the purple to the yellow… and continue at intervals.

And add a few drops of pink into the yellow smoothie and again using the cocktail stick, draw out from the centre of the drop out into the yellow smoothie to create ‘stars’

It’s easier than it sounds… just play around with it and you’ll create something ace 🙂
